"They."

"They" are the ones who are keeping you from living your dream. "They" run your life. "They" take away your freedom. You know what "they" say. "They" make the rules. Quite frankly, I'm sick of "them."

...

I haven't updated in months. Busy life. It's not like anyone reads this site anyway. This sniper stuff is scary.
I just made yellow belt.

CampChaos rules, totally hilarious. So Independence Day goes by, no anthrax, smallpox, nukes or dirty bombs. We're all paranoid for no reason. Is it a government plot? Subliminal advertising is kind of interesting. I wonder if 1/100th of a second is noticeable, or too fast. That's basically the limit for GIF images. Pop-Up Stopper is awesome, works like a charm. I've been playing around with Linux, a big change from Windows 98 SE. This is the version I used. I'll probably upgrade to Mandrake.

Check out the graphics for the two columns. Cool.

"Making and owning an H-bomb is the kind of challenge real Americans seek. Who wants to be a passive victim of nuclear war when, with a little effort, you can be an active participant? Bomb shelters are for losers. Who wants to huddle together underground eating canned Spam? Winners want to push the button themselves. Making your own H-bomb is a big step in nuclear assertiveness training - it's called taking charge."
- Andrew Scott

With July 4th coming up fast, this seemed to be a good quote. Hey, why not have your own nukes?

My computer died and was then recreated from scratch. A total format. I'm barely up and running again. Dreamweaver MX is still an enigma. I'm doing a time capsule of my own. I'll bury it for 5 years, then unbury it. Man, I've gotta download all the stuff I got with Kazaa all over again! This is not acceptable! From now on I backup everything.
28 June 2002 / 0451 GMT

Seriously? Any page you hand-code from scratch, like this one, Dreamweaver MX will seriously mess up unless you are in code view. You gotta be careful.

JavaScript is dangerous in the wrong hands. Like this.

This thing is turning into a blog. I need input. E-mail me. The address is at the bottom of the page. I admit MX is more powerful, but it treats you like a drooling moron. Not my favorite but still awesome. I'll put a list of our karate instructors on the Kenpo page. I also filtered out the sidebar links. I need more of that, too. And more caffeine. And more money, to buy more books to teach me how to use those programs I just got. It's all about having more, isn't it? I still have to write my KEO message to the 521st century. Gotta go.
27 June 2002 / 0510 GMT

Anyone without Kazaa must have been living in a cave for the last 5 years. So many illegal downloads...

I'm changing this page's link column to only include really good links. I need it. KEO is still strong in my mind. Stickernation is broken.
26 June 2002 / 2308 GMT

The KEO project is simply the most awesome endeavor ever to grace the earth. Go to the site, I guarantee you'll love it. 50,000 years is a long time. Write a message for the people (creatures?) of 52,001.

Okay, I asked kap to link me about 3 minutes ago. The big question is: Will he? If he doesn't, I'll ask his link buddies.

I need to do some serious thinking about this site. Not as much the design of the pages, but the pages themselves. How am I going to set up this file structure? I'll need to consider that before putting the same header on every page of the site.

I need some coffee.

I just saw Minority Report. That movie is so awesome, I'm not surprised Ebert gave it 4 stars. This whole message is going to be about the movie, so if you don't care, don't waste your time. Anyway, Spielberg made a real keeper this time. It's sci-fi enough for nerds like me, but it's full of action for the average Joe. Spielberg seems to have gotten the perfect balance. The future Washington, D.C. they show is amazing. The technology has evolved incredibly, and here is what I think will likely be here in 2054:

1. Those clear flatscreen/touchscreens that can show practically anything.
2. Multi-angle hologram projectors.
3. Those Lexus cars that look just like the light cycles from Tron, but have width and can travel sideways.

However, some of the elements of the movie are pure sci-fi, such as police flying around with jet packs like Arnold Schwarzenegger in Jingle All the Way. And don't forget the police hovercraft. Those little spider-searchers that pop out of the coin-sized discs might be possible, but you'd need a lot of nanotechnology. The sonic guns seem pretty disarming, but not very lethal. I also liked the idea of the sick sticks that make people throw up when they get zapped, though I doubt that it's possible. The old lady with the vicious plants seemed pretty cool. My brain can't even process the whole precrime idea right now, so I may save that for later. I'm starting to forget to add punctuation marks. I must be tired; after all, it is 1:10 AM here in Chicago as I write this. I need more people to link to me. Maybe kap from steakandcheese.com could help, or maybe his link buddies. Speaking of which, his site is awesome. Visit it. Now. Also, go see Minority Report.

Now.

A complete overhaul has taken place. I won't even bother to describe to you the abomination of a site which has been eliminated from the web. So, this is frame 25, and it's at http://frame25.cjb.net . Sorry about the pop-ups. Tripod sucks tremendously.

Live with it.

This is still a work in progress. I can't figure out what to do with these table layout columns. The one on the left is just for spacing to make it look good, but I can't figure out what to do with the big right column. Maybe link buttons? No idea. General comments, suggestions, etc. can be sent to frame25@frame25.cjb.net .
This thing is so much better than a hit counter.

I'll go ahead and say what you probably already know: This site works best in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5+. Make the Net a better place and get it here. And try to use at least an 800x600 resolution. If anything seems out of place, try reloading the page.
